Platform Nine and Three Quarters
Along the far side of the sequestered platform hidden within King's Cross Station, would run waist-high railings that block access to the open train tracks beyond. Lining the nearer side of the platform, beyond the wrought-iron archways, would be outlets of a decidedly Wizarding nature.
Business in the Wizarding world can only be transacted in wizard currency. So the first stop for every new entrant should be the branch of Gringotts Wizarding Bank, where Muggle money can be converted into wizarding coins.
The next stop would be either the Owl Post Office or the Newsstand. Dotted between the three establishments would be kiosks selling food and beverages unique to the Wizarding world.
With all the excitement, it would be easy to forget the fashion detour. That is, until the necktie lights up with a message. Embedded in every tie is a tiny receiver tuned to a unique frequency. When a newly tailored outfit is completed, a transmitter set to the corresponding frequency would be activated. The radio waves generated would wirelessly charge the battery connected to the paper-thin OLED that lights up, displaying the words, "Garment ready for collection".
At a quiet corner of the platform would be a counter with a signboard "Garment Collection" hung overhead. Surrendering the luminous necktie over the counter yields a set of light-weight, loose-fitting, long black robes, including a pointed black hat, all cut and sewn to measure.
Soon, whistles and steam would herald the arrival of a scarlet locomotive, Hogwarts Express.
