Shell Cottages
In the garage at Ottery St. Catchpole, visitors would meet Arthur Weasley and his many mechanics, all working on vintage vehicles. Producing a letter (offering sanctuary to exposed
members of the underground resistance) would get one ushered into a private shed annexed
from the garage.
In this shed is Bill Weasley, tinkering with a blue 105E Ford Anglia. Piling into the car, which would be able to sit ten comfortably and stow several items of luggage, Bill would climb behind the steering wheel once all seat belts have been properly fastened.
The parking spot in the shed is one end of a single-lane highway built with hardy transparent materials, such as bulletproof glass or plastic. As the engine purr into life and the car start to move, the passengers would realise that they are in a hovercraft. The car would be propelled on a cushion of air along a narrow road that would rise high in the air as it clears the shed. The drifting motion and transparent highway would suggest a sensation of soaring through the sky to spectators and passengers alike.
The highway leading away from the shed would end at a cliff overlooking the sea. At the cliff-edge would stand a lone cottage, whitewashed walls embedded with shells. Fleur Delacour would step out of the cottage offering greetings and refreshments. While her helpers and husband wrestle the luggage out of the car, Fleur would lead the new tenants down steps/ramps hewn from the rocky cliff.
Dotting the side of the cliff facing the sea would be smaller shell cottages, distanced and sequestered from each other. Families or groups would rent the entire cottage, much like villas at a beach resort.
These accommodations provide the most privacy and tranquility out of all the lodgings available within the park, seeing as how the usual way in and out of this area would be by the flying Ford Anglia, reserved for private use by cottage tenants only. There would be private paths that can bring the tenants to and from any location within the Wizarding world by way of the flying Ford.
Late-night activities unique to the cliff-side dwellers would include gathering in Bill's and Fleur's cottage to catch the latest broadcast of Potterwatch on their antique radio or helping Xenophilius Lovegood publish new editions of the Quibbler on the printing press in his rook-like house.
