Drumstrang Voyager
As the skeletal sailing ship tethered to the Drumstrang Dock prepares to set sail, Igor Karkaroff, the Headmaster of Durmstrang Institute, would be on deck calling all stragglers to board before the tides and winds turn. Despite the sails and oars, the ship would not be depending on any winds or tides to traverse the water, instead discrete engines would be doing all the work :)
As the ship reaches Sentosa, it would enter a man-made lagoon, with the water level dropping progressively as it sails further inland. The ship would sail through a crack in a towering wall of corals to end up in a tunnel of water. Much like the underwater tunnels in water theme parks, but with a deep and wide canal instead of a moving walkway, sailing through this covered canal would give the impression of being submerged in water, so people suffering from claustrophobia or hydrophobia would be advised not to take this mode of transportation.
Entering a circular chamber, the ship would cut power to its engines as a gate closes off the tunnel passage it came from. Though surrounded by walls of water on all sides, the top of the chamber would be above water level and open to the sky. The view from the ship would be similar to one from the bottom of a well.
As water fills the chamber, the ship would rise with the water level. Nozzles attached to air pumps would shoot out jets of air into the water surrounding the chamber, generating an effect of the ship emerging from beneath a great froth and swirl of water. Piercing the surface of the surrounding body of water, the ship would end up floating on the calm eddies of Hogwarts Lake.
Once the water level in the chamber reaches the surface of the lake, a gate at the top of the chamber would open, allowing the ship to sail towards
the covered pier perched on the distant shore. An aide would be waiting on the pier to deliver the Drumstrag uniforms that any passengers were unable to collect before boarding the ship. The pier leads straight to the vast expanse of the Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch.
